Preparing for your Farm Visit
First Time Visiting Us? Welcome!
Been Before? Welcome Back!
Here are a few things to keep in mind as a chaperone or when sending your child on an Education Farm Field Trip at Mary Has a Little Farm.
-
Field Trips are Scheduled in advance with our Farm Coordinator.
-
Closed-toe shoes are recommended for all visitors!
-
Children have the opportunity to interact with our animals.
-
Our animals live here and complete their daily duties here as well - We do our best to keep a neat and tidy barnyard but PLEASE WATCH YOUR STEP!
-
Bathrooms are available at the barn and near our picnic area. Students should remain with a teacher or chaperone at all times.
-
Drinking Water will be available onsite from our big orange coolers.
-
We encourage children to leave personal belongings at home. Our animals don't get too excited about lost and found items.
Tips for a Great Day
-
Chaperones follow the signs directing you back to the barn for parking.
-
Chaperones are encouraged to set a good example for their students by being attentive to the presenter.
-
Cost for Chaperones is $12 each.
-
Photo opportunities abound. Have your camera ready!
-
Our property is smoke free.
-
Be ready to walk - your student's day involves a short nature hike.
-
If space permits, chaperones may participate in the hayride. However, the students are our priority and should be seated first.
